Lap 1: (4-17-10) Welcome back to racing. Opening night for Chuck and the Perino Motorsports crew was not a good one. In Big Block action Chuck started 5th in the 3rd heat and finished 5th, witch placed Chuck 20th for the Big Block feature. In Big Block action Chuck moved forward once again quickly and passed a couple of cars early but was invovled in a turn 2 accident ending his night. Not a good start to the 2010 campaign. Chuck and team will look to rebound next week on the hard clay!
Weekly update 2010
Lap 2 : (4-24-10) VICTORY! Chuck and Perino Motorsports bounced back this Saturday after a tuff opening night on the Hard Clay. After a week one disappointment Chuck scored his first feature win of 2010! In Big Block action Chuck started 2nd in the 4 heat and won , witch placed Chuck 4th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck moved to second off the green flag. Despite having the fastest car, Chuck had to pick his spot to take the lead because of the extremely bad track conditions. Chuck would take the lead on lap 11 only to loose it on a restart. Chuck retook the lead on lap 19 and never looked back pulling away to his first victory of 2010 and his 26th Big Block feature win at OCFS.
Lap 3: (5-1-10)Another rough week for Chuck and the Perino Motorsports crew. In Big Block action Chuck started 8th in the 2nd heat and finished 1st, placing Chuck 16th for the Big Block feature. In Big Block action Chuck moved forward once again quickly and passed a couple of cars early but was invovled in a turn 4 accident. The Perino team went to work changing two tires and fixing body damage returning Chuck to the track in the 12th position. Chuck charged to the front and scored a 4th place finish. Chuck and team are now second in points just four points out of the lead see you next week on the hard clay!
Lap 4: (5-8-10) Chuck Mckee traveled from his son's graduation in South Carolina to OCFS Saturday only to be stopped by a curfew. Despite an hour flight delay and heavy winds Chuck made it to the track just after the Big Block heats and made it in time for the Big Block consolation. He quickly moved from his dead last starting spot in the consi and finished 5th. By finishing 5th Chuck would have started 25th in the night cap feature. A medical emergency in the pits then stopped the nights racing action. The feature will be made up at a later date.
Lap 5: (5-15-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports back in action on the hard clay. In Big Block action Chuck started 7th in the 3rd heat and finished 2nd meaning Chuck started 16th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck moved foward quickly. He managed to miss both accidents and pot holes to finish a solid 8th. Double features coming up this week on the hard clay!
Lap 6: (5-22-10) Double features this week on the hard clay! Chuck started 25th in the held over feature and was invovled in a lap 3 accident ending his race. He was scored 21st. After major repairs by the Perino team Chuck returned for heat race action. Chuck started 7th in the 2nd heat and finished 4th, he started the feature in 12th. Chuck moved foward in the early going, then got a little damage from a major whole field pill up but drove away. Chuck nursed the #19 to a 6th place finshed. Chuck and team are happy to have the night behind them.
Lap 7: (5-29-10) Rain out
Lap 8: (6-5-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports back in action on the hard clay. In Big Block action Chuck started 5th in the 1st heat and won. Chuck would have started 9th for the Big Block feature. But the rains came and ended the night!
Lap 9: (6-15-10)Another week for Chuck and the Perino Motorsports crew. In Big Block action Chuck started 5th in the 2nd heat and finished 3rd, placing Chuck 11th for the Big Block feature. In Big Block action Chuck moved forward once again quickly and passed a couple of cars early. Chuck avoided several accident and continued his charged to the front and scored a 3rd place finish. Chuck and team are now back in the points hunt see you next week on the hard clay!
Lap 10: (6-19-10) Chuck and the Perino Motorsports crew hit the hard clay once again this weekend. In Big Block action Chuck started 5th in the 1st heat and finished 2nd, which placing Chuck 13th for the Big Block feature. In Big Block action Chuck moved forward once again quickly and passed a couple of cars early. Chuck avoided but got pushed back by several accidents delaying his charged to the front and scored a 13th in the end. Chuck and team continued to gain ground in the points hunt see you next week on the hard clay!
Lap 11: (6-26-10) Chuck and the Perino Motorsports crew had a hard night this weekend at OCFS. In Big Block action Chuck started 5th in the 1st heat and finished 4th, which placing Chuck 8th for the Big Block feature. In Big Block action Chuck moved to sixth after 1 lap of racing. On the next restart Chuck was ran into by another car causing a major accident. Chuck's night was over and he was scored 25th in the end. See you next week on the hard clay!
Lap 12 : (7-3-10) VICTORY!Chuck and Perino Motorsports came into this Saturday looking for some good luck to go with a fast car. After a tuff couple of weeks on the Hard Clay, Chuck produced scoring his second feature win of 2010 and a 5th! In Big Block action Chuck started 9 th for a held over 30 lap feature. Chuck was running in the top ten when he tangled with another car in turn 2. Chuck had to go to the pits for some repairs but then charged to the front. Passing some 20 cars under green flag conditions making his final pass with 3 laps left finishing 5th. Chuck then started 4th in the 1st heat and finished 2nd, witch placed Chuck 11th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck moved into the top ten off the green flag. Despite having the fastest car, Chuck had to pick his spot to pass and work his way forward. Chuck took the lead on lap 24 and never looked back pulling away to his second victory of 2010 and his 27th Big Block feature win at OCFS.
Lap 13: (7-10-10) Rain out
Lap 14: (7-17-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports back in action on the hard clay. In Big Block action Chuck started 7th in the 4th heat and finished 3rd meaning Chuck started 16th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck moved forward quickly then the track locked down and he finish a 12th.
Lap 15: (7-24-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports once again in action on the hard clay. In Big Block action Chuck started 8th in the 4th heat and finished 6th meaning Chuck would have to run the consolation. Chuck finished 2nd in the consi which meant he started 22nd for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck moved forward then the track locked down and he avoid several late race accidents to finish a 13th.
Lap 16: (8-7-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports once again in action on the hard clay. In Big Block action Chuck started 7th in the 4th heat and had a wild flip in turn 1. Chuck drove away and after many repairs took a provisional spot in the feature which meant he started 27th. In the feature Chuck moved forward then was involved in accident. He finished 21st.
Lap 17: (8-14-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports once again in action on the hard clay looking to rebound after a bad week. In Big Block action Chuck started 3rd in the 1st heat and finished 2nd meaning Chuck started 7th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck moved forward quickly then feel back to finish 6th . Not a great night but better than the last.
Lap 18: (8-21-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports once again in action on the hard clay In Big Block action Chuck started 4th in the 2nd heat and finished 3rd meaning Chuck started 9th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck some how made it threw a hugh pile up on lap1. After some repairs Chuck returned to action and finished 10th.
Lap 19: (8-28-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports once again in action on the hard clay In Big Block action Chuck started 3rd in the 3rd heat and finished 3rd meaning Chuck started 9th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck passed two cars in turn one of the feature and then single file racing was maintained for the last 29 laps. Chuck finished 7th. One more week to go on the Hard Clay.
Lap 20: (9-4-10) Chuck and Perino Motorsports looking to finish the points season strong on the hard clay In Big Block action Chuck started 4th in the 1st heat and finished 4th meaning Chuck started 10th for the Big Block feature. In the feature Chuck passed two cars early in the feature and then single file racing was maintained most of the race. Chuck pick off one car on a late restart to finished 7th. Points season is over on the Hard Clay Chuck finished 3rd this year.
